Ben is a partner with the firm and has been with Blackburn Conte since 2011.
Born and raised in South Boston, Virginia, Ben earned his B.A. in English from Virginia Military Institute and his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law.
Prior to entering private practice, Ben worked as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Southampton and Mecklenburg County, where he tried numerous misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. His emphasis is on civil and criminal litigation, and he regularly appears before the General District Courts, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, and Circuit Courts throughout the greater Richmond area and Southside Virginia.
Ben represents individuals and businesses and has expertise managing a broad and diverse case load. The majority of Ben’s practice includes handling matters related to personal injury/car accidents, construction litigation, contract disputes, general civil litigation, family conflicts including divorce, misdemeanor/felony criminal charges, and serious traffic offenses. Ben is consistently recognized by his peers as “Legal Elite” in the category of civil litigation published by Virginia Business Magazine.
Ben lives with his wife, Elizabeth, and their three children in Henrico County.
