Ted has been engaged in the practice of law since 1995 and joined the firm as a partner in 2001.
He served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Henrico prior to entering private practice where he maintains a general practice with an emphasis on criminal and civil litigation. He regularly represents clients throughout central Virginia in both state and federal courts and has spoken on issues related to the practice of criminal law at the University of Richmond Law School.
Mr. Bruns’ criminal defense practice includes the defense of all variety of traffic and criminal offenses, from minor moving violations to capital offenses in both the state and federal systems.
He was recognized by Super Lawyers and Richmond Magazines in 2008 and 2009 as one of Virginia’s “rising stars” in the defense of criminal cases.
